My path
The path I’ve walked since the age of eleven has been a blending of martial arts and yoga (in its many forms). Interestingly, it was the practices of yoga that allowed me to understand and delve into the internal practices of the martial arts, while the sense of playfulness and experimentation encouraged in the martial arts gave me the skills and enthusiasm needed to examine the inner workings of yoga. These two disciplines have come together in my life, and, working in synergy with each other, have pushed me forward on the path of self realisation.
I started this blog for many reasons, but the most important one was to share some of the amazing insights I’ve gained from my years of training and practice.
I hope you get as much joy out of reading my posts as I get while writing them.
Thank you for sharing your insights. Look forward to reading more and digging into you blog.
Thanks William. Same goes for me, your blog looks really interesting. I enjoyed reading your last post, Reasons, Forgotten.
I nominated you for the Liebster award- check out my blog to ‘accept’ http://jenniburkeyoga.wordpress.com/2012/12/11/blog-award-whats-that-mean/
I love martial arts too! I study Hapkido, I like the philosophy of Harmony…of loving the ‘opponent’ to the ground.
Yeah, there’s nothing quite like a loving embrace from a well trained martial artist. It can literally take your breath away 😉
